Re: Closed coil in air

Here is a start. Create the coil, create the sphere, remove the coil from the sphere but keep it, coherence the geometry to merge coincident points.

Re: Closed coil in air

No that is not the way to do it. The two bodies have to share the same surface and nodes at the interface otherwise the two bodies do not know about each other. The first approach was closer, you put the ring you used to cut the volume back in but it has to be joined so it shares the geometry at the...

Re: Membrane stretching due to negative pressure in a "microfluidic" device

I believe he means that this specific board index is for solved completed cases to be presented as examples. There are other boards under board index for specific problems. Yours would be fit under General since the whole problem needs to be developed and you are not having a specific technical issu...

Re: Flutter Analysis using Elmer

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aeroelasticity https://www.euroturbo.eu/paper/ETC2019-199.pdf Because NASTRAN was developed by NASA there was focus on providing more coding and solutions to aid in analyzing flutter of aero-elastic structures. However physically it is the full coupling between fluid fl...

Re: ERROR:: StatElecSolve: No > Relative permittivity < found!

I am assuming you mean tutorial 1, the heat equation, that is what the video shows. If you are following tutorial 1, then there should be no StatElecSolve nor Relative Permittivity involved. In the tutorial steps you create the equation and you must select the heat equation and make it active. Model...

Re: ERROR:: StatElecSolve: No > Relative permittivity < found! Error with ELMER GUI tutorial 8

when you add a material you select the tab for the solver you want to use and the required properties need to be filled out. There is also a General tab for general properties

Re: ERROR:: StatElecSolve: No > Relative permittivity < found!

You are displaying the geometry from the heat equation tutorial, but are running a static current equation, not sure which tutorial you are doing.

The error means that the relative permittivity variable is not defined, which is needed for static current but not heat equation
