Re: Operating system error: Not enough space Out of memory
Hi Peter, I realized that the block preconditioners don't requires parallel solving (even it's probably the intention?). I start getting confused between parallelization (which I know) and BP or what you call "multilvel methods". Can you tell me more (or references) about the CMG/SGS? I'll...

Re: Operating system error: Not enough space Out of memory
Hi Peter, Thanks for your reply. I was just reading yesterday some of your posts where you mention this BILU(n). From what I have seen, even with my 32bit version, I never had a memory issue during the preconditioning. Only during the iteration but of course, we could also see that the preconditioni...

no Rev printed in elmerSolver
Hi, I'm using rev5884-win64 under Vista and I can't see the revision in the log of ElmerSolver: ELMER SOLVER (v 7.0) STARTED AT: 2013/03/06 08:37:07 MAIN: MAIN: ============================================================= MAIN: ElmerSolver finite element software, Welcome! missing build revision in help about
Hi,
In the ElmerGui, you can't find the build version you are using. neither in the logger (at least I haven't seen it).
I think it would be good and helpful to have the revision as well as the 32/64 in the help about.
Thanks,
K.

Re: Operating system error: Not enough space Out of memory
Hello Peter, here is the file. In fact I'm doing a study of the different solvers and precond from a performance p.o.v. (RAM usage/time) on a given problem. You can also find attached my results so far (knowing that it was with Elmer 32bits, linear model and all ilu5-9 failed). Thanks for your help,...

Operating system error: Not enough space Out of memory
Dear All, I'm having a memory problem on my vista machine. It's a 64bits with Elmer 32bits (5884). I'm running a model of 42k (quadratic) elements with GCR solver. I get the following error: StressSolve: StressSolve: -------------------------------------------------- StressSolve: Solving displacemen...

Re: Static clamped beam: Elmer and Analytical solutions differ
Hello Peter, thanks for the post. I'm not sure to clearly understand the definition you wrote (I know what a distributed force is). When you say "...it is [F]/[A]...", I understand that the value I put in the BC editor is 1000 (N) distributed on the A defined (this is the behaviour in Cati...

Elemergui crashes when calling a summary while meshing
Hello,
Here is the scenario for this bug:
Windows 7, 64bits.
I opened elmer gui, import my part (simple beam) and do a mesh.
I change the mesh settings and remesh. While it's meshing, I call a summary.
ElmerGUI crashes immediately.
Thanks

calling ElmerGUI in batch for batch meshing
Hello, in this topic " http://www.elmerfem.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2401#p7339 ", Peter explain that ElmerGUI can be called in batch for basic meshing. I check inthe ElemrGUI documentation but couldn't find any information. Basically I would like to reproduce what happens in the G...

VTK post-processing crashes when importing documentation ep
Hello,
Here is the scenario for this bug:
Windows 7, 64bits.
I opened elmer gui then the VTK pp.
Load the case_ref.ep from theElmerTutorialFilesGUI->EigenmodesOfAnElasticPlate. elmer crashes immediately.
Thanks
