Re: Gmsh-Elmer Query
Hello @kevinarden, and all, After things worked out at simpler system, as I little complex the system, I am somehow able to manage the bodies by arranging surfaces but could not able to map the lines/boundaries from gmsh to elmer {e.g. boundary1 in elmerGUI shows line(86) in gmsh - something is inco...

Gmsh-Elmer Query
Hello Elmer Community, I have a query regarding adjusting a .geo script in Gmsh to generate a .msh file, specifically for a 2D case. After generating the mesh, I utilize the command ElmerGrid 14 2 filename.msh -autoclean to extract mesh files in Elmer format. However, upon inspection, I noticed that...

Electric Field at Dielectric Interfaces
Greetings Elmer Community, I'm currently working on a system that involves two bodies with different dielectric constants, and I'm interested in calculating and extracting the electric field at their interfaces -- due to the discontinuous eletric field there are two different values for each node at...

VectorHelmholtzSolver and 2nd Order Elements
Hello Elmer Community,
Can VectorHelmholtzSolver handle 2nd order elements, or is it restricted to linear elements? Seeking insights and recommendations from those with experience.
Thanks,
K Batra

Re: Order and Orientation of the Edge Basis
Indeed, so far so good. But does then also 1-3 come before 2-42 in the full list over edge elements? That is lexicographical?
Thanks

Order and Orientation of the Edge Basis
Greetings, I'm curious to learn about the ordering and orientation of the edge basis in Elmer. In some approaches, one sorts all edges lexicographically, and their ordering describes the basis. Does Elmer follow a similar approach? One could also loop over elements - as given in mesh.elements - and u...
