Offset on EM wave in antenna simulation

Hi, I've been trying to simulate a simple dipole antenna with EMWaveSolver in time. What I expect to get is outgoing electric fields such as in this video. https://youtu.be/UOVwjKi4B6Y See the first picture. I simply have a 0.1-meter metal wire along z-axis embedded in the air (sphere). I specified ...

Re: Elmer for high-frequency circuits in MHz to GHz

Hi, Peter.
This really is a great news to me. Thank you!
I will leave this topic open for people to discuss RF stuff.
Tom.

Re: Rectangular RF cavity eigenmodes (EMWaveSolver and WhitneyAVHarmonicSolver)

Hi, Rich. thank you for the file. I will make use of it. Hi, Peter. Thank you for the detail. I really appreciate it. As you suggest, yes there can be degenerated eigenmodes. So I guess this shouldn't be an issue specific to ELmer but more of a general problem coming with an eigenmodes analysis. May...

Elmer for high-frequency circuits in MHz to GHz

Hi, I'm an engineer working at a company dealing with electronics and stuff. As the company planing to start a new R&D project, I'm currently looking for a way to simulate high frequency circuits (typically in a few GHz region, like antennas and microstrip line, etc.) or any arbitrarily high-fre...

Rectangular RF cavity eigenmodes (EMWaveSolver and WhitneyAVHarmonicSolver)

Hi, I have been experimenting on Elmer for RF circuits analysis. As a first step I calculated eigenmodes of a simple rectangular cavity. It seems that EMWaveSolver and WhitneyAVHarmonicSolver both has functionalities for an eigenvalue problem. I tried both solvers and got plausible eigenvalues. So I...
