Installed new Binnary Bug

All, Its been a year since I installed a new binary so I went ahead and installed the latest version onto directory C. I loaded a mesh and a .sif file and ran a simulation that was fully operational before the reinstallation. However the simulation seems to partially run the Flow solver (Navier-Stok...

SaveLine

Raback, Can you confirm if I got this straight. I am using saveline as follows. Solver 3 Equation = "SaveLine" Exec Solver = "after timestep" Procedure = File "SaveData" "SaveLine" Filename = "bottomsurf2.dat" File Append = Logical True Variable 1 = String "Coordinate 1" Variable 2 = String "Analyte...

Re: Advection/Diffusion+Reversible Surface Binding

Raback, I was able to determine the concentration gradient of my analyte close to a sensing surface in my flow cell where I assume the surface is an infinite sink so I just set a BC where the analyte = 0 at this surface. I am still trying to use an analytical expression for the the accumulation at t...

Re: Application fields of Elmer

Comsol are the only viable alternative to elmer in bioprocess engineering and biosensing. I have not seen such an application in Elmer with the exception of the heart contraction simulation. I am looking at modeling a biosensor and this is usually performed using custom software and prohibits use by...

Re: Advection/Diffusion+Reversible Surface Binding

In your directions below you gave some boundary conditions. I took your advice and set the boundary analyte concnetration to constant values. I began with zero and noted that when I did this the analyte dispears at the wall and so the wall behaves as an infinite sink. I get a distinct boundary layer...

Re: Nernst-Planck electromigration

Hi All,

There are a lot of simularities in this model and a case I am working on. I noted patches to the advection diffusion solver for this applciation so I guess I am wondering if the correct .xml, .dll and .F90 files are available thus avoiding any work with compiling code.

Re: Advection/Diffusion+Reversible Surface Binding

It would appear that my project is almost identical to the electorchemistry problem decribed Navier-Stokes equations with diffusion and electromigration (AdvectionDiffusion model) for convective mass transfer http://www.elmerfem.org/wiki/index.php/Electrochemistry Simplisticly if I could subsitiute ...

Re: Advection/Diffusion+Reversible Surface Binding

I noticed that there AdvectionReaction Solver but I cannot find the F90 for this. Is it available?

Re: Advection/Diffusion+Reversible Surface Binding

Using the boundary conditions as suggested should work for a simplifed case where I could use an analytical expression to determine AB as a function of time using the concentration of the advected species as an input parameter. However, to obtain the most useful information I need to solve the ODE f...
