Re: Difference between Circuit and MagnetoDynamics currents

This does not make a difference in my case. Changing time-stepping schemes worked for cases with lower frequency, but this high-freq still has these oscillations. Making smaller timesteps seems to make things even words.

Hi,
It looks that we are having the same problem

Transient WhitneyAV I(U) oscilations

Hi, Transient WhitneyAVSolver simulation with circuits. The same case is solved two times - by setting 1) current we should get voltage 2) voltage we should get current Screenshot_9.jpg Screenshot_1.jpg It seems that by setting the current, the solution is more stable. However, when setting voltage,...

How about creating a new field in the calculator
coordsX*A
where instead of coordsX put the proper variable that represents the distance from axis?

Visualizing mean average value for each body

Hi, I want to calculate the mean/average value for a field (e.g., joule loss) within each body separately and save it as a field. I intend to use it to validate the homogenization model. Potential solutions I identified: 1) Using SaveScalars with many different masks, applying mean operation on them...

Re: Eddy Current Power Unit

For the axis-symmetric problem, it should calculate the total power considering the distance from the axis. You get the total power in W.

For planar 2D, 1m thickness is considered. In this case, the value you get is power density = watt per meter.

Re: Saturation H-B curve problem

Extend your BH curve into the saturation region or at least for higher H values.
It might be that Elmer is linearly extrapolating your curve.

Re: Saturation H-B curve problem

Could you share a BH curve or even better an entire case as it is not clear where magnets are?
