Hi, Elmer experts,
I would like to include an axial fan inside my fluid domain. A fan curve (Pressure - Flow rate curve) will be applied. I am wondering if anyone here has done this and can share some steps on how to do this?
Thanks!

Re: convert OpenFOAM mesh to elmer?
Thanks Matthias for the reply! Looked through ElmerGrid manual quickly. Did not see anything about converting mesh from OpenFOAM to Elmer. However, it looks like there is an utility in foam-extend 3.1, foamToElmer that can convert OpenFOAM mesh to Elmer. In the process of installing foam-extend to s...

convert ANSYS Workbench (fluent format, *.msh) to elmer?
Hi,
I am wondering if it is possible to convert mesh generated in ANSYS Workbench, saved in Fluent ascii format (msh) to elmer.
Thanks!

conjugate heat transfer - complex geometries
Dear Elmer Experts, I would like to solve a conjugate heat transfer problem with very complex geometries. Elmer as a solver is very capable of this type of problem, however, the issue is how to get the geometries meshed and import it into elmer. I think that the best option is to use a commercial me...

supported mesh generators?
Dear Elmer experts,
I have not used elmer for a couple of years now. Just noticed that elmer released a new version. I am wondering if anyone can post the latest supported mesh generators? Can ANSYS (using V16.1) fluent *.msh be converted to elmerGUI format?
Thanks!

Re: display only certain bodies/faces?
Hi, Peter,
You are correct. Why didn't I think of that?!

display only certain bodies/faces?
Dear Elmer Developers, In the old ElmerFront, one can select a body number (say, 2), then only display that body with its associated faces and hide all the others. Is it possible to do the same in ElmerGUI? ElmerGUI can display volume number and surface number, but, for complex models, it is not eas...

local mesh refinement?
Dear Elmer developers,
After importing the mesh from say, unv format, is it possible to refine mesh of a specified area (say, (x0 y0 z0 - (x1 y1 z1)) in ElmerGUI or ElmerSolver?
Thanks!

multi grid error
Dear Elmer developers, I setup a case under ElmerGUI (a code very nicely done!). When I used BiCGStab for N-S, the case ran without any problem. When I switched to multigrid, I got the following error: It looks like ElmerGUI does not write out the sif file correctly? Is there any general guideline f...
