Navier-Stokes in Cylindric Symmetric coordinate system?
Hello, recently I simulated the heat distribution and convection of water within a rectangular area in 2D cartesian coordinates. For comparison now I want to simulate the same problem in a cylindrical tube in cylindric symmetric coordinate system. I have used the same rectangular mesh that should no...

Re: Solid-liquid phase change
Hi XisZero,
thank you for your response.
Are you sure, that the unit of the enthalpy is J/m³?
After having simulated it with the new values (in J/m³), I think, the time until Phase Change is very long (about 13-16 h).
I appreciate any hints.
Yours sincerely, Martin.

Solid-liquid phase change
Hi Elmer users, I wanted to simulate the phase change of water from liquid to solid with the enthalpy method. I am not sure, if I get the right input parameters because the time until phase change is happening is very short, so it would be nice if anybody who is practised in phase change simulations...

Finding max values in transient analysis
Hi, ELMER Post users, I have done a transient analysis over a 2D problem. Now I need to find max values of the temperature from each time step and I want to calculate the sum of the Velocity_abs over the whole area for only one time step. How can this be done in ELMER Post? Or do I need to use a spe...
