Re: What is "displacement n load"?
Hi, Here is an example usage. http://numsim.de/cantilever2d.html " ...what i guess is that for a given "target coordinate" setting in BCs, displacement 1 load means the displacement in x direction for a given load. "...... May be you are right, but in the above example, displacem...

What is "displacement n load"?
Hi, I noticed some examples in which boundary conditions in stressSolver have been set using the keyword "displacement n load". I could not find this keyword in the ElmerModelsManual. Could somebody explain its usage, please. Apology if this information is already there in the documentatio...

Re: Poisson.f90 - request for example in 2d
I noted that by putting the line
Target Bodies(1) = 101
in the "body" section of .sif file, the solver works.
If anybody is interested, a working example of PoissonSolver in 2d is attached.

Thank you, Peter.
I will try your suggestion today.

Poisson.f90 - request for example in 2d
Hi, This is in reference to Tutorial 26 in ElmerTutorial.pdf. The document says that PoissonSolver can also be used for 2 d region. I tried that on a simple square region with Dirichlet's boundary condition. I keep getting "segmentation fault" error. If anyone has implemented Poisson.f90 o...

Re: ElmerGrid - barrel.grd - why the top step did not rotate?
Got it. For example, in the same barrel.grd case, changing the first line in material structure from 1 0 0 to 1 1 0 creates a cylinder on top as well.
-----------
Material Structure in 2D
1 1 0
1 1 0
1 1 1
End
--------------
Thanks a lot.

ElmerGrid - barrel.grd - why the top step did not rotate?
Hi,
I am reading the ElmerGrid manual. There is an example named: barrel.grd. I noticed that in the output, only the bottom two steps rotated to give cylindrical structure. But the top step rotated to give cube, instead of cylinder. Why?
Thanks
