Re: Save Data and boundaries and partitions

Hi Martina, Thank you very much! And also Thomas (although he hasn't posted his code here.) So, yes, the problem is with SaveScalar Solvers Variable 1 = String "Flow Solution" I used as Martina has said. So following the example given by Thomas I modified my code and it worked very happily...

Re: Save Data and boundaries and partitions

Hi, I just found this old post and thought it might be the place I should put my problem at because I am trying to do the same thing. I have 2 separate bodies and I am trying to save volume from the flow solution for the 2 bodies respectively. But It seems that no matter where I execute save scalars...

Re: Small basal velocity value patch from Adjoin inverse method

Hi Martina,

Thank you very much! I'll have a closer look at my data. And I just put my modeled surface velocity here.

Cheers,
Yongmei

Re: Small basal velocity value patch from Adjoin inverse method

Hi, Thank you very much! I think I confused poeple a bit that my 0 value in surface obeserve are not originally in those fast flows but somewhere else I didn't show (very few of them). But the basal velocity produced by Adjoint do have those patches. I don't quite understand how Adjoint mehtod can n...

Re: Small basal velocity value patch from Adjoin inverse method

There is a pic with better scale that you can see the patch more clearly. Observational surface velocity on the left and modeled basal velocity on the right.

Small basal velocity value patch from Adjoin inverse method

Hi, I've currently used adjoint inverse method to do the velocity inversion and got some patches with very low basal velocity (almost 0) in some fast flow area (see the pics). I haven't got the similar thing when I used Robin inverse method. Since there are some 0 values in the observation I wonder ...

Re: Saving results & restarting

Hi,
Good to know! But I think we don't have navier -stocks solver in the second run. But I'll check anyway.
Cheers,

Re: Saving results & restarting

Hi Peter and Martina Dorothee and me had another issue with restarting a simulation that is without Navier-Stockes solver from one that has. (We are using the inverse Adjoint method this time and it has to be mentionned that we don't have the same problem with the Inverse Robin method...) In the sif...

Re: Problem with calling DiffuseConvectiveBoundary subroutine

Thanks for Thomas' help. Problem solved. I guess we do not need to anything to the subroutine now.

Cheers.
