Re: Animation error

Yes the problem was the window size. 1024 x 768 it's fine. Also 1980 x 1050 it's working. Thanks

Animation error

Dear all I had I problem in video capturing. I followed the instruction in the previous post "1) open ElmerPost 2) read the results in ReadModelFile menu selecting all the relevant timesteps 3) In Edit / Timestep Control Loop all the timesteps and check that your animation is working To make an...

Re: Output of Temperature in a selected Point

Maybe you can try this solution: in SaveScalars you can specify in Save Points the points (node numbers) that you need. You can check the node numbers directly in elmer GUI or in the mesh.nodes file (you can open it with notepad). Elmer will create a file with the evolution of your variable for each...

postprocessing with matlab

Dear all I tried to use matlab as a postprocessor of a thermal transient analysis. I opened the .ep file with excel, cutting the groupelement part and keeping only the grid coordinates and the temperatures at different timesteps. Then I imported the data in matlab and rearranged them in a matrix that...

Re: BC for 2D transient heating

Dear Hamed and Peter Thanks for your answer. I was able to make an easy analysis on a rectangle with that boundary condition. Now I'm trying to analyze a section of a floor heating system that means that I have - an outer rectangle (all boundary adiabathic except for the upper one that has imposed h...

BC for 2D transient heating

Dear All I'm trying to model a 2D transient heating body with a simple geometry. I would like to impose a step variation to the temperature on a boundary region and evaluate the behaviour of temperature in the body. I don't know which way is the best to do that. I tried to declare in model boundary ...

Remeshing and command input

Dear all I'm new with Elmer. I have some easy questions. I imported a simple geometry from gmesh and I would like to know how to remesh it in ElmerGUI. I tried to modify the parameters in - Mesh - configure but nothing happens. Why? Did I made a wrong model in gmsh? What do the commands in configure ...
