Re: bug in WhitneyAVHarmonicSolver - unexpected results
... Great that only a wrong assignment of the boundaries produced the error. So proven that the AVsolver works properly. Starting from this good news, I compiled a windows MPI version including Trilinos. But when running my problem with Trilinos solver as recommended in the tutorials I get: starting...

Re: bug in WhitneyAVHarmonicSolver - unexpected results
Hello, I gave it a try. Here my results. I have checked out the latest version of Elmer. For Trilinos I used 10.12.2 - Compiling Trilinos libraries worked out of the box with cmake. - Compiling elmer with -DHAVE_TRILINOS failed with: gfortran -m64 -fPIC -Wl,-rpath=/home/millim/elmer-inst/lib -L. -L/...

Re: bug in WhitneyAVHarmonicSolver - unexpected results
It is good to see that others are also using the WhitneyAVHarmonicSolver. I have also encountered severe convergence problems by using it even for higher frequencies. Even the test example "mgdyn_3phase" from the Elmer repository is not current density divergence free and show these issues...

problem understanding test-case "mgdyn_3phase"
Hello, I am particular interested in the usage of the "WhitneyAVHarmonicSolver" and to understand its behavior. I have investigated the "mgdyn_3phase" test case of the Elmer environment. I have difficulties to understand the produced results of the Elmer solver. I am using the Wi...

Re: Postprocessing WhitneyAVHarmonicSolver 3D results?
Hi, yes I know the properties of the Static Current Solver. But let me explain my related problem. The LayoutEditor contains the fasthenry solver (originated by MIT, I guess) for evaluation of impedances of wire tracks. Just by curiosity, I wanted to compare the results from fasthenry with Elmer. So...

Postprocessing WhitneyAVHarmonicSolver 3D results?
Hello, The WhitneyAVHarmonicSolver solves the system for complex Fields and Densities. For Cartesian-3D, 6 scalars represent one FEM element: Variable Re 1 Variable Re 2 Variable Re 3 Variable Im 1 Variable Im 2 Variable Im 3 Same holds for the {e} components. I have no clue how to calculate the bou...

Re: Magnetic field with eddy currents 2d/3d
Hi
How paraview can handle complex Vectors See:http://www.flickr.com/photos/ajvanne/79 ... otostream/
For transient you have to use something like cos(wt) and static,
for stady just the angular frequncy and harmonic

Re: Magnetic field with eddy currents 2d/3d
In general I have difficulties understanding the "Electric Current Density" Boundary condition option of the AVsolver. My working assumption was based on a simple conductive wire body in 3D having 2 ends (for current entrance and exit): If I apply a Current Density on one of these ends, th...

@akirahinoshiro
take:
Linear System Preconditioning = NONE
Linear System Iterative Method = BigStabl
then it works.
