Re: Differences between Temperature and Temperature Condition
:D Great, Peter!! a. So, if I write in Model --> Boundary condition Temperature = 300.0 Temperature Condition = Velocity 1 the temperature of the selected surface is 300 K only if variable velocity is greater than 0 (may be 3 or 7 ... ) that means that there's a physically sensible flux of heat. But...

Differences between Temperature and Temperature Condition
I don't understand the difference between "Temperature" and "Temperature Condition" parameters. «There are basically two types of boundary conditions that we deal with - constant temperature and constant heat flux (including zero heat flux, known as adiabatic). The constant tempe...

displacement along the x axis
I followed the instructions of the second tutorial provided by "Elmer Tutorials - CSC – IT Center for Science July 1, 2011" called "Linear elasticity equation – Loaded elastic beam". It works fine. Then I changed a little bit the model: I added a second force that compress the be...

Good morning everyone. I try to tell my experience elmer upgrade (hopefully to help others). I state the reasons for this attempt to update: Elmer is present in the native repository of Ubuntu 10.04, in order to follow up step of the tutorial in May 2011 I need a newer version than the one installed...

Re: other sketch up plugin than Khamsin
It's so: I can't understand the way salome works to make a simple mesh (none post a simple video about it on youtube...).
I define geometry, than I try to have the mesh, but may be there's something between these two steps.
Does exist a simple graphical guide?

other sketch up plugin than Khamsin
About the Mesh generators: For me the simplest 3D tool is sketch up (but it only create skp files). Then I need a plug in to transform my 3D model intro a .stp, .mphtxt or .grd file. I tried to use Khamsin, but (may be because of my 64 bit architecture) it doesn't work. Does exist another plug-in fo...
